Old Groove Studio
The Story
Old Groove Studio, AKA O.G., is a full service recording
facility owned and operated by Casey Daniel - a founding
and current member of the platinum act Seven Mary
Three - who has 15 years of experience in the music
industry playing, recording, writing, and producing.
Casey
has worked with some of the biggest producers and
engineers on the business - Sylvia Massey, Neil Avron,
Jack Joseph Puig, Chris Lord Alge, Brian Paulson, Tom
Morris, and John Blanche, and has played multiple
instruments on more than ten national releases on Major
and Indie labels.
His experience in the studio, on the road,
in the business, and on both sides of the glass, sets his
ability to deliver or obtain passionate performances and
deliver a high quality project apart from the rest of the
modern recording bandwagon.
       O.G. is l
ocated ten minutes north of Orlando in
Altamonte Springs, FL
. We feature the best of both
analog and digital equipment in a hybrid setup. We run
outboard preamps, such as Vintech
, Demeter, etc. to Pro
Tools
8 through Lucid AD/DA converters - and out to a
vintage DDA British console with outboard
analog
compressors (DDA is now Midas and FL console tech
Gary Faller compares them with the best out there)
. The
whole room is acoustically treated and we have rolling
gobos to shape the sound to any specifications. Clients
include Seven Mary Three, Hugo Ferreira (Tantric), Crash
from WJRR, NerVer, Sank You, CAJG, Ambertone, and
Vidalast.
